Return and Refund Policy

Effective Date: March 21, 2026

This policy applies to purchases from Not Appropriate Humor made through our website and other authorized channels. By placing an order, you agree to this policy in addition to our terms of sale.

Standard Return Window

• You may return most new, unused items within 30 days of delivery.
• Items must be in the same condition you received them: unused, unwashed, uninstalled, and complete with all tags, manuals, accessories, and original packaging.
• A valid proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required.

Holiday and Promotional Periods

• Orders placed between November 1 and December 31 may be returned until January 31 of the following year, subject to the same eligibility conditions.
• Items marked final sale or non-returnable are not eligible unless defective.

Items Not Eligible for Return

• Personalized or custom items
• Perishable goods
• Digital goods or downloads once accessed or delivered
• Gift cards or store credit
• Items marked final sale or non-returnable at checkout
• Hazardous materials or items restricted by carrier rules

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

• If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@notappropriatehumor.com.
• We may request photos or a description to assess the issue.
• Once confirmed, we will provide a prepaid return method or another remedy. Remedies may include repair, replacement, or a refund to your original payment method. If the item is unavailable, we will offer an equivalent replacement or a refund.

How to Start a Return

• Start your return at https://www.notappropriatehumor.com/returns or email support@notappropriatehumor.com.
• We will provide return instructions and a return authorization number (RMA) if approved.
• Ship your return within 14 days of approval using a trackable carrier and include the RMA inside the package.
• Returns sent without authorization may be delayed or refused.

Return Shipping Costs

• If the return is due to our error or a verified defect, we will cover reasonable return shipping.
• For all other returns, you are responsible for return shipping costs. We may offer a discounted prepaid label and deduct its cost from your refund.

Inspection, Acceptance, and Restocking

• All returns are subject to inspection.
• We may refuse the return or apply up to a 10% restocking fee if items show signs of use, wear, installation, damage, odor, stains, missing parts, or missing packaging.
• If a return is refused, we will notify you. You may choose to have the item shipped back to you at your expense within 14 days.

Refunds

• Once your return is received and accepted, we will process your refund within 5–10 business days.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If the original method cannot accept a refund, we will issue store credit.
• Original shipping, expedited shipping, insurance, and gift wrap are not refundable.
• If your order included a bundled discount and only part of the bundle is returned, the refund will reflect the discounted allocation.
• If we covered return shipping and the return is not due to our error, we may deduct our shipping cost from the refund.

Exchanges

• Exchanges are available for the same product in a different size or color, subject to stock.
• The fastest method is to return the item and place a new order. Where possible, we will reserve inventory for 7 days after issuing the RMA for a direct exchange.

Gifts

• If you received the item as a gift and it was shipped directly to you, we can issue store credit to you for approved returns. If the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, we will send the refund to the original purchaser.

International Returns

• For international returns, you are responsible for return shipping, duties, and taxes unless we state otherwise in writing.
• Mark the shipment as a return to avoid additional import duties. We do not refund duties or taxes charged by customs.
• International exchanges may require placing a new order.

Risk of Loss

• You are responsible for the item until it is delivered to our returns address. Use a trackable service and keep your receipt. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit that do not show delivery to us.

Policy Abuse

• We may refuse returns, limit service, or close accounts for excessive returns, suspected fraud, or misuse of this policy. We will act reasonably and base decisions on objective evidence such as return frequency and item condition.

Cancellations

• You may request to cancel an order before it ships by emailing support@notappropriatehumor.com. If the order has already shipped, please follow the standard return process.

Warranty and Statutory Rights

• This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where a manufacturer warranty applies, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, or other remedies as described in that warranty.

Governing Law and Disputes

• This policy and any disputes relating to returns or refunds are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
• You agree to bring any claim in the state or federal courts located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, unless applicable law gives you the right to choose a different venue as a consumer. Each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts. This section does not limit any small claims rights available to you.
